Join the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to learn about the new Railroad Crossing Elimination (RCE) Grant Program established under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and its notice of funding opportunity (NOFO).

The RCE Grant Program makes available $573,264,000 in funding for highway-rail and pathway-rail grade crossing improvement projects that focus on improving the safety and mobility of people and goods. The RCE Program will benefit infrastructure throughout the country, including in tribal and rural communities, and in U.S. territories and possessions.

FRA staff will provide an overview of the RCE Grant Program starting with the goal of the program, availability of funding, eligibility, how to apply, and what documents to submit. Environmental and Corridor Planning staff will cover the basics of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and its role in federally funded transportation projects. The Grants Management Division will cover best practices for grant award and post-award management. A question-and-answer segment will follow the presentation.

This webinar will be useful to agency staff, project sponsors and their consultants, and discretionary grant applicants. It will help those new to NOFOs and anyone seeking a refresher or the latest guidance on applying for federal grants for rail projects.
