Greener and Healthier Future in Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County communities now have a landmark opportunity to shape a more resilient future! The 2025 Regional Park and Open Space District Competitive Grant Programs are releasing $58 million in Measure A funding to expand parks, restore natural lands, and build regional recreation spaces that close equity gaps across the County. With three distinct programs:
- Planning & Design ($18M)
- Natural Lands, Beaches, Water Conservation ($24M)
- Regional Recreation, Trails & Accessibility ($16M)
This cycle prioritizes projects that deliver multi-benefit impacts like stormwater capture, heat-island reduction, biodiversity, and equitable access. Importantly, at least 30% of all funds are set aside for High and Very High Need Study Areas, ensuring resources reach the communities that need them most. Whether it’s advancing shovel-ready trails, restoring wetlands, or creating new recreation hubs, these grants are designed to fuel transformative projects that directly uplift Los Angeles County residents.
