California Department of Technology Roundtable on Jurisdiction Permitting Playbook

California’s Broadband for All Action Plan directs the California Department of Technology (CDT) to explore actions to enhance permitting processes at all levels of government to support broadband deployment in the State.

As part of this effort, CDT and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) developed the California Local Jurisdiction Permitting Playbook, which offers guidance to State partners and local jurisdictions on ways to enhance their permitting processes to support broadband deployment.

On October 6, 2022 at 11:00am, the California Department of Technology will host a roundtable to outline the permitting process, its role in deploying broadband infrastructure, and debut the California Local Jurisdiction Permitting Playbook — a resource for local government broadband deployment, inclusive of public policy priorities, unique community circumstances, and residents’ needs. The Roundtable will include time for Q&A, open discussion, and technical assistance.
