The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) launched Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) for $27 billion across three grant competitions under the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) as funded by the Inflation Reduction Act.

National Clean Investment Fund

The National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) is a competition to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that can help finance clean energy projects. The NCIF will award up to $14 billion in grants to 2-3 organizations. These organizations will then partner with the private sector to provide financing for clean energy projects. Applications are due October 12, 2023.  Learn more.

Clean Communities Investment Accelerator

The Clean Communities Investment Accelerator competition will provide grants to 2-7 nonprofit organizations. These organizations will then provide funds and support to local lenders working in low-income and disadvantaged areas. The goal is to help these underprivileged communities get the money they need to carry out clean technology projects. Applications are due October 12, 2023.  Learn more.
