Latest Infrastructure Wins: Bridge Grants & Free Transit Passes

Funding Infrastructure and Building Bridges

The Department of Transportation recently awarded $26.5 million in planning grants under the Bridge Investment Program to fund 28 projects across 18 states. This includes $400,000 for the Pico Rivera Telegraph Road Bridge and $320,000 in funding for the Slauson Avenue Bridge. These planning grants support early-stage project development, including feasibility studies and revenue forecasting, with the aim of moving projects toward eligibility for future construction grants. These initiatives align with LA County’s goals of improving infrastructure safety while supporting our local economy.
