Powering the Future

$328 Million Boost for Green Energy and Home Upgrades!

Los Angeles County, on behalf multiple Southern California counties, secured a monumental $328 million from the California Energy Commission to supercharge the Equitable Building Decarbonization (EBD) Direct Install Program. This innovative program will deliver cutting-edge energy-efficient appliances and essential upgrades straight to low-income households across the region—transforming single-family, multifamily, and manufactured homes in underrepresented communities.

With a laser focus on slashing greenhouse gas emissions, the EBD Program aims to revolutionize how we power our homes, boost energy equity, and paves the way for a cleaner, healthier future. Expect improved indoor air quality, resilience against extreme heat, more affordable energy, and grid support, all while ensuring a livable wage for the workforce making it happen.
