Considering the significant need in the LA County region, a Transportation Subcommittee is being established under Infrastructure LA. Please email infrastructurela@pw.lacounty.gov to request to join.
State Call for Project Nominations
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) released a Call for Project Nominations to partner on potential grant applications for the Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) established under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The $1 billion available under the RCP program can be used to support efforts to remove, retrofit, mitigate, and replace existing infrastructure that disconnects communities from development opportunities and resources. Nominations are due by June 30, 2022.
Caltrans is looking for nominations for the following:
- Project nominations where Caltrans is the lead RCP applicant
- Request Caltrans to be joint applicant on a local RCP grant application
- Request Caltrans letter of support for a local RCP grant application
